Let me tell you a bit about myself and my teaching experience.
I am teacher Elena.
I finished my secondary education in London.
I finished 2 years of studies in only 1 year, which got me a scholarship for Oxford.
I started tutoring immediately after finishing high school and in these 17 years of teaching, I taught English in its many forms.
- I have been a University professor for 4 years. I taught Environmental Science English at the University of Applied Ecology
I also helped my students with:
- IELTS / TOEFL / Cambridge exams
- Business English
- Public speaking – preparation for job interviews, presentations, and PhD. defense
- Human Resources English
- Engineering English
- Medical English
… and most importantly – I have been helping my students prep for the Duolingo English Test for almost three years now!
Every single time I am prepping someone for the test I am not actually prepping them just to pass the test, I already see them enrolled at the University of their choice. I always try to teach my students vital skills and provide them with the knowledge they will need during their University studies, not just for the test. I truly make an effort to help them believe in themselves and the knowledge they already have. Maybe that is the reason why I have had 100% success with all of my private tutoring lessons so far!
Whatever the formula of my success may be, I could say one thing for sure – the knowing that after our lessons the lives of all of my students have changed for the better could be the greatest reward I could get as a teacher.
